How to buy safely
Complete guide for buyers on Holderlian
How it works: You pay Holderlian, we hold funds until you confirm delivery. Seller gets paid only when you're satisfied.
1. Get your Buyer ID
Register at holderlian.com/register as a Buyer. You'll receive a unique ID: B7F3K9. Free, takes 2 minutes.
2. Find a seller
On Instagram, Facebook, Jiji, or WhatsApp, ask the seller for their Seller ID. Valid Seller IDs start with S: S2X5M8.
Warning: If a seller cannot provide a valid Seller ID, do not proceed. They are not registered with Holderlian.
3. Create order
In your dashboard, click "Create New Order" and enter:
- Seller ID (must start with S)
- Item description (brand, model, condition)
- Price in Naira (₦)
- Delivery address
- Preferred courier (optional)
4. Pay via Paystack
Click "Pay Now" to proceed to secure checkout. Options:
- Card (Verve, Mastercard, Visa)
- Bank transfer (instant)
- USSD
- QR code
Funds are held in escrow. Seller cannot access them.
5. Track order
Seller ships item and uploads proof. Status updates:
- PENDING Awaiting payment
- PAID Payment received
- CONFIRMED Seller accepted
- IN_TRANSIT Item shipped
- DELIVERED Arrived
6. Confirm delivery
When item arrives:
- Inspect thoroughly
- Take photos (keep as evidence)
- Log in to dashboard
- Click "Confirm Delivery"
Money released to seller instantly.
Note: You have 48 hours after delivery to raise disputes. After that, auto-release may occur.
If something goes wrong
Item not received: Raise dispute. If seller can't prove shipping, full refund.
Item damaged/wrong: Do not confirm. Take photos, raise dispute within 48 hours.
Seller unresponsive: Contact support after 48 hours of no confirmation.
Buyer checklist
- Verify seller has valid Seller ID
- Never pay outside Holderlian
- Save conversation screenshots
- Film package opening
- Inspect before confirming
